Evan starts kindergarten in just under a month, so we're working to get him excited, and to squeeze in a little fun before the big day.
So far, we've:
driven past his school (8.30.2008)
gone shopping for school supplies (9.1.2008)...
been planning a pirate (Evan's latest interest) playdate-(just for fun)
Any one have any good ideas for getting a little boy who worries about new things excited for kindergarten?

I said to Peirce yesterday, "Did you know that in only 30 days school starts?" He did a hockey-player style 'YES' while clenching his fist and going down on one-knee (is that just hockey players or do others do that too?) He's very excited because he's going to be in the upstairs part of the school and he's only been up there two times! :0)
This post got me to thinking...maybe we should plan a combined family celebration to kick off the school year...hmmm...will have to do some thinking on that! Sounds fun to me. :0)
I know there are several good books about starting school. I'll find a couple titles and either post them or email them to you.
