It''s interesting to see how Sarah is impacted by Evan heading off to school full time. The first two days of school for Evan, Sarah seemed to enjoy the extra space and attention. By the third day, around 9:30 am Sarah and I had this conversation:
Sarah: "When does Evan get home?"
Me: "Not till just before dinner time."
Sarah: "Oh... Well, is it dinner time yet?"
Of course Sarah and Evan don't always get along, but it has been wonderful to see them play together so well, for so much of the past summer. Whether pretending to be a knight and a princess, or Luke & Leia, of Star wars fame, they've often surprised me by how often they've found a way to work such different interests into the same imaginative play.
